If there ever was a year that didn't set a new record temperature or rain/snowfall---that would be a new record.

We had about 15sq tore off of a nice 8/12 when a storm showed up on the horizon Monday. It lingered for a couple hours then floated over us and rained 5" in an hour just 15 miles past us. 70mph winds. It gave us a nice shade and breeze for the day....no luck today it was brutal! We quit before noon.

Most of our area didn't have fireworks this year because of the burn ban. The cops were going nuts trying to find the few people who were lighting some off.

Here in MN the Winter of 11/12 was a drought but we've gotten so much rain this Spring it's crazy.

Down in South Central MN were my Dad lives they got 10 inches in a couple weeks. The farmers planted again were the giant ponds were and then the filled up again.

Last I heard MN was 5 inches higher than average so far.

It could be like a few years ago though were we got a lot of snow in the Winter than a ton of rain in the Spring then nothing in the Summer and Fall.

So sorry for everyone else's problems. As I said, we've been blessed. The rains came just in time here.

Dry here, (obvious)...No rain in the forecast :(

Quite the opposite of last years' records, and snow in June!

This dry heat has been different. By June it's like an armpit here in So IL. I'm used to being soaked in sweat all day but it evaporates so quickly right now.

I don't remember the last rain, or the last time I mowed! No rain in the 10 day forecast either.

Do you guys shingle when it's 95+ degrees?

It stopped raining about 10 miles south of us. Maybe today a bit. I sure hope so.
