xactimate training

I'll be purchasing Xactimate soon and I'd like to know about how you guys went about learning the software. Did you take training courses the software designers offer? What version do you all use? Did you learn from someone already using it? I'm considering going to one of their courses but I don't want to waste precious time while they teach about the parts of the software that don't/won't apply to me and what I want to accomplish.

Just play with it for a day or so and you'll learn.
