Is there a ridge vent?

Looks like a good place for a heat cable. I have come to believe that a lot of the leaks that I see cannot be solved no matter how much insulating and ventilating I do. Heat cables are the only way to keep some of these areas from damming up. That looks like one of them.

This season has been so extreme that a lot of people are getting leaks that they haven't had before. Of course a lot of people haven't been in the house long enough to have seen these conditions.
