OLE Willie

Is the Forum making a comeback?

Some guy is posting topics about not being able to find work.

I'm posting about not being able to find good help.

And the whole while there's a Roofers Re-Union going on!

We'll always be talking about not being able to find good help I reckon...

I made a few million already. But what good is that now when it was spent along the way? Except that it showed me I don't need it.

Robert, you won't spot any more pics from me on "that" site.

Like I said on there, I could post a pic of a 2013 candy apple red corvette and someone would complain about a spec of dirt on the door handle.

Oh, and don't dare say anything "unacceptable" about storm chasing.

Hey, I am working on my second million now....I gave up on the first. The way I look at, I entered this world with absolutely nothing, and I still have most of it left. I am going to have fun while I am here though and do the best work I can do. that is about all that really matters anyway.

OLE Willie

Thanks Mike, you made me laugh at a time when I couldn't find anything funny!

I have been working similar to the way you do. Mainly alone with one helper and was doing only residential repairs for nearly 2 years.

Right after a wind storm hit my area about 6 weeks ago, I decided to take on entire roof replacements again. Which I had done my whole life until the last few years. This is when the troubles came along.

I had gotten out of the practice of sub contracting my work to others and even though it is certainly MUCH easier and about the same cost wise, I still do not want to resort to that anymore. Doing roofs that way makes you NO different than any of the others.

I gave up trying to become a multi-millionaire a long time ago and I'm only looking to make a good living now.

With age, the list of things that are important in life has been re-arranged! For the better!

To whom much is given, much is required!
