Looks like a 70 sq. shake t-off w/ caps. Mediums. And felted too. What size dumpster required? 40? 2-30 yarders?

It's been a couple years but recall a 45sq tear off with really old heavies taking 2 14 yard dump trailers. Keep in mind the shingles were all stacked by guess who? ME!

Used to burn the cedar shakes and shingles but don't have the open area to burn a dump trailer load. When it was possible burnt a few loads. One load burnt one side of the weeping willow tree!

OS, your right they sure do burnt down nice. It's been 7-8 years but the last loads burnt didn't leave much ash at all. A little wind and you never knew anything was burnt.

Very quick hot fire...

Twill, they are about in line. We have a dump trailer that we can haul about 9 or 10 yards of shakes in at a time. I would just haul it away everytime I left the job and bring it back empty. We also have a place to burn them and that saves a lot of dump fees. If they are dry when you light them up, it only takes about 20 minutes for them to be a fine pile of ash about 2 inches deep.

Sounds like a good job to have.

Caps are hip & ridge.

Medium is the size of the shakes

I'm showing my age here but whats caps and mediums?

I'd figure extra seeing as when you dump the buggy it just spreads out and fills a container. I'm sure you aware of this but everybody else may not be. We have a 12 yard dump truck we bring to every job and a loaded down equiptor dumps into it about four times w/ some overflow.

Also depends on how its loaded. Stacked and packed would take way less room then just tossing and let it fall as it may

GKRFG Said: I would figure 1 sq. = 1 yard. So if you can a 40 yard I would figure one of them and a 30. Can you take it back to your yard and burn it?

Yes some of it. Hauling it is the problem.... 2 yrds at a time in the buggy.

I was figuring 2-30's. So I guess I might be hauling some out of there too. Thanks
