New roof repairs are keeping us busy. 3 yrs old and younger installs. Poor workmanship along w/ manufacturers product problems have kept us hopping this year.

So yes, I do note the connection between mfgers. and jack legs. Guess who I have less respect for?

Today's joke was 8 months old and had a "10 yr. labor warranty" scribbled on the "contract". Nothing about workmanship on the warranty. What they lacked in workmanship, they made up for in workers tho. About 20 or so and got 'er done in a day!!

The owners found me on Angie's List for the repairs. Guess who else will be on Angie's List ?? For all the wrong (right) reasons :silly: Yes, it is getting a little MORE "over under sideways down" out there :S

I told the owners I could not have gone anywhere near this pig for the $7400 that their inurance companies paid these posers. heck, I can get $7G's off an Ins. Co for a rancher anyway!!! (Thanks Chuck, darryl, et al)

one of the problems when you've got the car salesman selling and watching builds.they can never figure how the fender goes on so they just toss it in the trailer.

Vaa--There was an existing chimney chase leak. They simply caulked some busted up boards. Re-used old flashing and did not replaced rotted decking in this area. It was funny seeing the old green I&W from Globe still stuck onto the flashing!

Also some old apron metal was left exposed in at least 3 areas --- cheapazz aluminum w/ nail holes, all ripped up and 100 nails showing, un-caulked. He does not know if it is leaking, but I can see wood there

Some step flashing ends exposed (typical). Some nails exposed (typical) The ridge vent is not laying flat on the ridge in some spots. I caught it walking up to the house.

Contract called for drip edge @ the rakes, none installed (Contract actually stated drip edge on the gables--- good thing they did not put it on. That would really look weird on the walls!)
