We had snow here in the deep south a coupla months ago, that ain't supposed to happen, then these past few mornings ice on the roads. This morning when I came in at 6 it was 34 degrees and the forecast today is a high of 70!.......I don't understand the whole global warming thing with the conflicting opinions and such, but the weather these past few yrs sure is messed up.>>>

Yeah for you Mike. I think that those that think the humans can significatly affect the weather are dreaming. The earth will shake us off like fleas on a dag if we mess with her too much. Like you said, it is a complicated thing we are dealing with.

We are finally having a decent winter here in Michigan. Snow and cold and a lot of it. There was a significant thaw right after Christmas so at least we have a place to push the snow right now. If that hadn't happened, we would have had about 3-4 feet on the ground right now instead of about 20 inches. It is cold right now with the expected lows tonight in the range of -8 to -12 Feranheit. BRRR. Slight lake effect snow going on right now and maybe a it of a storm coming early next week. We will see!>>>

Every year there are records set almost at every spot on earth. Hottest day, coldest, wettest, driest etc. Picking and choosing among the records, you coould argue for any outcome you desired. For instance

Year of hottest day Year of coldest day

US 1913 1954 NZ 1973 1995 Canada 1937 1947 Antarctica 1974 1983

Since the "facts" show that in all of these locations all around the planet they have had their coldest day more recently than their hottest day, it can't be disputed that the planet is cooling.

You have to look at the political goals of whoever is making the claim and if the facts conveniently fit, be suspicious.>>>

We have had cold freezing weather since the 12th of Deecember. We set a new snowfall record for December at 114 cm. (41 inches)

Have had about 10 days of fog depositing ice with more snow in the forcast for the weekend.

It is the worst winter I have had here in the past 31 years.>>>

Well, I'm trying not to let the conditions get to me. Sunday night I may be shlepping my kayak to a local pool and we're contemplating doing un-natural things like rolling, paddling underwater, and the like. I miss having chorinated water shoot up my sinuses. Of course, first I have to dig a path to the garage, then I have to drive through town with a bright red kayak on the roof (also known as a red flag saying "crazy person under here"), then we have to strip the thirty one layers off... And after we have our fun, do it all again, in reverse. I might even get to practice with a Greenland paddle. Does that count?>>>

Be patient. Buy Greenland. You'll be fine. Trust me on this one.>>>

Hi curmudgeon. Let me share our season with you. We already have at least 18 inches of the white stuff on the ground, the temperature has been just slightly warmer than liquid helium (ok, I exaggerate - only when the wind blows), and you can use bananas for a hammer. We're still doing roofing, and we're using blowtorches as hand-warmers. White is no longer one of my favorite colors. To experience "blooming", I either open a book with pictures, or listen to my wife's broadcast of "Coronation Street". To get running water, we first have to break the ice. Indoors. In the sink. :P>>>

We haven't had a winter here. I just spent a week working in a T-shirt. Everything is blooming. Not going to be any water to send LA and Palm Beach for their lawns and toilets.>>>

You gotta love that picture. You can't fall off from the roof, you would fall up to the snow.

What are they going to do with the snow from the next storm? Wow!>>>

Jed, it's a conspiracy, there's no such thing as Global Working, it's a weather cycle The Goverments of the world said Ya let's say the Earth is worming, and then they created all kinds of different departments, so they could generate $$$$ and all those bleeding hearts out there, give your head a shake.
