I've been debating some Liberal goob (redundant?) on Facebook. He thinks the First Amendment reigns supreme, and I think the Second Amendment protects the First Amendment and all the other amendments and rights in our Constitution and Bill of Rights.

What say ye?

OS that is funny. Growing up in the Bronx ...double parking was the norm in NYC . There were times if you were blocked in we had to drive on the sidewalk, it was normal to me so when I went to Ontario and double parked, everyone thought I was nuts. Oh well, they might be right, PC

Just tell them that if they don't like the way you are driving, just get the hell off from the sidewalk!

Roofguy...shoot me now. I took a friend to a doctor yesterday, highway driving. I do the middle lane, drive around me. I hated it, I am accustomed to local driving (rural), no more long trips for me. PC

Patty Cakes Said: Currently a bill in PA reestablishing the right to shoot an intruder in or out of the house, use to be in place then abolished, coming back in. :) PC

Now I dont have to drag them in the house. Thank You.

I think Texas should pass a bill allowing you to shoot anyone driving slowly in the passing lane. :cheer:

Old School Said: For another example, look at Switzerland. Everyone there is REQUIRED to own a gun and be ready to use it. In the middle of that hell hole of a continent with all of the wars fought there, they have not be invaded for over 400 years. No army to speak of, but a rifle behind every mountain for sure.

And very little crime there, hmm....

Worshipping? Naa. If a guy steals a key to the front door of your house, are you only concerned about the $1.99 value of the key?

The Second Amendment is one reason no enemy has atttempted a ground invasion into the US. Although some say it was misattributed, Admiral Yamamoto (or some other Japanese leader) was thought to say just after Pearl Harbor: You cannot invade the mainland United States. There would be a rifle behind each blade of grass.

The other Amendments are useless without 2A.

I agree with both of these.

Old School Said: I believe it is the soap box the ballot box and then the cartridge box, and the cartridge box protects the other two.

Good point. But just as a hammer is a poor choice for hunting, and a gun is a poor choice for nailng on shingles, if we wait too long in this country before we right the ship, the soapbox and the ballot box will be a poor choice of tools for the job at hand.

I just hope we get things heading in the right direction before that happens - I think 2012 may well be our last chance.

Might as well burn the constitution if we aren't going to follow it anyways.
