Thanks Twill. I update/d the page. I had many photos there, but I'm in the process of updating the page to my own tastes. I've started over from scratch and I really need to work harder at it. http://www.albertsroofing.com/JackAss%20photo%20gallery.htm

Thanks Frank! If it matters the roof is in Valparaiso, IN)
It would be on this page. http://www.albertsroofing.com/JackAss%20photo%20gallery.htm
I dunno Frank.... Ill check out your page. What's the link?
I admit...that's my house.
Yes. If I post it or put it on my Jackleg page, how would you like me to 'credit' it. I won't say I took it. 'From William's Roofing, for instance?'
I can't remember a hump (this was 2 yrs ago). If so, like tinner said, they made it worse as it would've been pretty minor.
Credit it? IDK what you mean Frank. On your website?
That explaination was SO good, I think Jim did that roof. LOL
Same here Jim. It was my first thought. My second was "How could he have possibly thought a water-bucking hip could improve things?"
My guess is that if you re-roofed it, you'd probably need to re-install it exactly like it is or you'd risk the problem of creating a very noticeable bump in the roof.
If I were a guessing man, and I am, I'd guess that the house and garage was detached and the hip ran all the way down. Then, a homeowner got a bright idea about creating a covered walkway between the house and garage. The homeowner got some bids and chose the lower bid. The semiskilled carpenter built the roof but messed up on the ridge height or didn't know how to blend it in because the existing roof was still shingled. Then, when the roof was stripped to re-shingle the error was discovered and the "hip to nowhere" was created to hide the bump.
Just a theory....no proof offered.
Twill. I saved a copy of this pic. How do you want me to credit it?
dougger222 Said: Wonder if any adjusters on a total roof loss would pay for the extra ridge?of course they will  . I mean, after all 95% of the sales folks out there today will measure and charge for it on their exactmate bid. they don't know no better.what do you expect from an industry that promises the world to car and shoe salesman?
what in the world is that?
A very creative idea on what to do with that extra partial bundle of ridge!
Wonder if any adjusters on a total roof loss would pay for the "extra" ridge?
That is funny, At least he could have struck a line so the "ridge" could have been straight!
