I just got back from visiting my mom's dash. I keep a candle burning by her dash.
It is snow covered with a coating of ice. I remembered how as a kid I would walk on the snow and try not to leave an imprint.

If you like reconciling opposites, which I do, that adds new meaning and another dimension to the expression, "Dash your hopes." They call that irony. I am always amazed at how words just float on top of magma, like a thin crust.>>>
