Snow in the mountains, rain in the plains.

Of all of the years that I used to go skiing out west, I always saw pictures of the 6 feet of fresh powder, but I only got to ski in a few areas where they had about 8"s. Looks like this is the year to ski if you like powder and lots of it. If it stops snowing for the winter right now out in Colorado, they have 125% of the average snowpack for the last 40 years. It is still coming. Floods in the spring for sure, but that will fill up lake Mead a bunch. Good for them and too bad for me. Sure wish I could go out there and enjoy it for once though. My knees are too old and sore anymore.

Snow in new England now too. 20 inches! My daughter is over there now, and she will keep me informed.
