There is a one day "old house network" home show that features a lot of restoration information that we are going to be in next Saturday. I don't nomally like them, but it is only for one day and I am going to talk for an hour about roofs and slate in particular. It should be fun. We are going to have a amall sample roof in our booth and show the people how to install slate and the do's and don't's involved. I think I will let them cut it and at the end of the day we will install everything that has been cut. I will let them install some too. It should be a hoot!
The "Old School" slate shcool continues!>>>
We were busy enough that I didn't even take pictures. It went well though. I will let you know next year at this time how much business we got from it. A LOT of interest!
I should be able to take a picture of the mock up that we built. We put copper gutter on it during the day and also cut and installed about half a side of slate and a few ridges on it at the end of the day. Probably about 16 people participated in that, and I am sure it was the firwt time for all of them working with slate. cool!>>>
Can you send us a Video?>>>
Actually, it is tomorrow. I went and set up a display roof tonight, and hauled everything down there. It looks pretty slick. We have some of my brothers' copper half round gutter to install and we made the mock up so that we have a hip roof plus a side wall and also a rake end. I will let you all know how it went.>>>
how did it go? i was looking to try something similar down here.>>>
