Slaters Hammer on Sale

For all of you slaters out there, Joe Jenkins is having a buy one get one sale on his slate hammers. I just got the email and thought I would share with you.

Not low-tech, OS. It's old tech. Nothing wrong with it if it works, I just laugh at the juxtaposition of professing to the old ways all the while selling it with the latest email contact program.

A properly installed slate roof will last for generations after the original installer puts it on. I put on a lot of slate and I also started to roof with my dad putting on shingles. I have been shingling for about 55 years now, and some of those original roofs we did have been done 3 times since then. There were slate roofs that were 60 years old when I started that are still going strong today. How is that low tech?

Wow, Joe Jenkins is a new-tech, email kind of guy? I bet he does facebook and twitter, too. It's just roofing that he thinks shouldn't evolve beyond the 13th century.

Thanks Terry, but I'm not in a slate market. If I got his special, I'd have 2 more than I need. :cheer:
