Jed

We have just picked up a large amount of shingle work at one of Louisiannas premier "Gated Commumities", this along with our regular workload which has increased dramatically since Gustav, and the extra work that will typically stem from this contract means we need more shinglers. Said facility will require that a background check comes back clean, so if you bin bad..... Anyone interested shoot me an email, thanks. jedbr@bellsouth.net >>>

Louisiana will let any state in the union pick the turf and the time,"

"You want state-level corruption? Local? Bring it. Historical tradition? Game on. Recent scandal? Easy money. You name the category, any category, and Louissiana will have a big dog in that fight." When it comes to easy " MONEY "........Well I'm talking local and national and Louissiana's in particular the Big Easy New Orleans is no "wannabe" No state could compete with Louisiana's heritage of political vice, from legendary governors such as Huey Long and Edwin Edwards to indicted and just-defeated Rep. William J. Jefferson, a Democrat whom prosecutors accuse of stashing $90,000 in illicit funds in his freezer. Ice Cold Cash.

........no, not really......Louissiana's corrupt reputation is warranted but irrelevant in this point as I am talking global. This part I don't understand.......thousands of what?........ "RE so obvious the thousands that could be listed would take to much time and prove nothing that isn't already known or suspected.">>>

Hopefully Jed I will be able to put a chink in that thinking. I'm not saying any of them are saints. What I want to get across is with the economy and the continuing problems the insurance co are a large future chunk. Disingenuous to leave out the State of LA in the corrupt in every way and will never be held accountable due to the protection afforded them by the self policing Govt. RE so obvious the thousands that could be listed would take to much time and prove nothing that isn't already known or suspected. Do I make my point.>>>

John The temp down here THIS week is cold, 30s in the am with a high of fifty. Last week it was in the high seventies low eighties. Even so it's paradise compared to what you boys are working in I'm sure. E mail on it's way.

Ciak, A large portion of our work is for the state of LA, so estimating for ins is not a factor here. We are instructed what bldg is to be roofed, then we follow the billing formula supplied by them to get paid. The last project, in late November was 16 roofs at one facility which was a good size and we have yet to complete it the one prior was 3 that then turned into 9, this one is almost 60 bldgs and from experience I know that it will end up alot more with change orders. Personally I think insurance companies are right up there with the banks and big pharma, they are corrupt in every way and will never be held accountable due to the protection afforded them by the government through lobbyists. Gotta love but home insurance companies but doubly hate the const. liability insurance companies who continually raise our premiums each and every year.>>>

Jedd You gotta love the insurance companies. They are the future of this business.Turning this once great industry on it's head With all the turmoil in the economy the money comes from insurance. Oh Yeah baaby Did you use any of the estimating programs necessary for insurance work. :side:  :silly: :woohoo:>>>
