:( I just looked at this one and I almost gave a bid of $15K, not including the cost of scaffold, for the 3 square roof and realized I was off. I'm getting new numbers from my suppliers tomorrow to verify.

It's a fairly busy roof. I wonder how much exactimate includes for 'cut-up'?

More power to you Tinner, I have to say that I wouldn't go up there for double that amount. But I would love to watch it getting done.

Tinner, what you didn't tell the guys was that is probably a Buckingham Virginia slate and it has to be purchased new it runs about $1,500 to $ 2,000 a square to buy it. The wait time is a bitch too. Not as much "profit" in there as a lot of them think.

I finally got enough material quotes to bid this thing. $26,K for the 4 square and I shouldn't lose my shirt.

Yep. Slate 6 sided Dome, Slate the dormer too. 20+ sheets of lead. Lots of copper, LLC, and 28'BIG. I still haven't submitted the bid yet. $15K wouldn't get me minimum wage.

OLE Willie

Scaffold? Just put you about 6 illegals up there with a single rope tied around the chimney, pay them $50 per square and you can pick up your check in a couple hours!

The small ones are the easiest to underbid. Only 3 sq. but set up and prep look like may take awhile.
