Just when you think you have it all nailed down, it changes.
Postcards haven't worked for us in quite awhile, but I decided to throw together some home made postcards to send to the mailing list of an association we recently joined. I have a total of about $200 in toner, postcard stock, and postage in the mailers.
Got 3 leads, sold 2 of them already, and expect to sell the 3rd.
It may be an abboration but it looks like the lesson learned is using very specific marketing geared toward the recipient. In the past I was inclined to send out the postcards we had professionally printed because we have 5,000 setting around in a box. But these were designed for a very specific purpose using nothing more than Word and my commercial grade color laser printer and heavy-duty paper cutter to cut 8.5" x 11" in to (2) 5.5' x 8.5" postcards.
Since the mailer was small in number I just stuck a $.47 stamp on ea.
Worked well.
