I just got back from Arizona... 109 degrees on the ground!

No clue. I try to be home by 11 or noon.
Two imutables about roofing in the Texas summertime heat:
1. It is cooler if you set up lights and work at night. and; 2. Setting up lights and working at night is dangerous, inefficient, and seldom results in a good finished product.
We only do it in an emergency.
We reroofed the Las Vegas Mini Mall back in the 1970's, right across The Strip from the Stardust. We roofed at night and would shut down at 11am as it began to get really hot. The crews were to then go to their rooms and sleep, but they instead headed to the casinos.
So you can handle 109 how about 115 plus???
I have roofed in Phoenix most of my career- but have also did work in Corpus Christi, Mississippi, west Texas, Phoenix and of course Dallas. In Phoenix we were off the roof by noon to avoid health issues and destroying the roof surface... in Dallas I can work around the clock... But it is a dry heat... Sorta like an oven:

I guarantee that 109 in Texas, LA, MS, AL and FL is a whole lot worse than 109 in AZ.
98 in TX is worse than 109 in AZ.
Photo's are back!
Looks like RCS may be having issues with photos- It removed some of my latest images and won't let me up load new ones... Keeps giving the internal error message... Hey Vickie everything alright on your side or is just mine?
