Hey folks I was wondering how many of you have had any experiences with the rhino bond systems. Our company is on a 1000sq.+ pvc(sarnafil)go over(dont know why, personally the only thing i like going over is new deck)Id love to hear some input or horror stories about this system.Any feedback, positive or negative would be appreciated.
I'm in NJ. We've just done rhino bond sarnafil PVC. We use rhino bond a lot; its just a new installation technique, similar to mechanically attached but a little diferrent, they said better???. A word of advice: install plates in straight lines - it's easier to find them, try to move the membrane if the seam is on the plate becouse "DOG" never welds seams on the plates 100% and you don't want patches ;), and first rule - clean your magnets to avoid holes on the plates. NO horror stories - sorry ;)
I have never used the Rhino Fastening system, I going to guess that this system came out after I retired, I did however check the product approval specifications and found that the Rhino system has been approved by Miami-Dade county product approval I tried to pull up a web site that shows the system in operation but haven't been able to secure one yet The advertising reminds me of the old 2001 Hurricane roofing system when it mentions flutter of the membrane I used to watch the 2001 flutter in the wind until it came apart. I don't see that system advertised any more I wonder if they are still around. Some areas in Florida still require a fully adhered singleply system especially in the 160 mph wind zone.
Just started our first. 2500 square tear off. Seems good so far.
