You guys that have used this stuff for awhile, what does it look like after years of UV exposure? Do the edges ripple up in spots?
I did a reroof back in 1995 with a 36' wide continuous bank of skylights that I installed some kind of single-ply on the backpan side (I don't remember what it was). On one extremely heavy downpour this Winter this detail leaked for the first time. I will be building a plywood cricket and putting on EDPM that will go up under the tile and onto the curb, over the metal skylight frame. I was thinking of using the EternaBond to make the connection with the EDPM and frame. Any guesses how long it will last?
You're welcome. You can also use uncured epdm cover tape .It sticks to the metal.Eternabod is a little bit too rigid if there is going to be some sort of movement.
The owners of this house are in Asia until the first of March when I will do the work, so pictures will have to wait. It is on a South exposure, so I think white will be a better choice. Thanks for your input, Alba.
if you could post some pictures.i've noticed the white eternabond works better than the black one.
Never used it but if it works on white houses with columns who knows, maybe theres a future in it for me!
