Rozzie If you aren't Mac you have either been cloned or artificially inseminated in the same womb . Your style is the same the type style is the same and the attitude well enough said ..........>>>
Vaa maybe ur right i should have said an inspector "from planet earth" would laugh. Infact i have read back and i do find this to be the case. I do see you take pride in your work this is very clear. Some of the flashing's are very suspect and i choose to call you on them. You in turn get upset when someone questions your work. As far as your cheerleaders go (ciak & Mrscreant) quoting books on a roofin forum is showing how much roofin ability they have. One good point is maybe i should start takin pics. I am not Mac or UNmac or whatever ur thinkin. Dont need to change my name 4 u. Its people like you that are hurtin a good site. And hey guys good luck at your next GIRLSCOUTS MEETING >>>
There was quite a bit of airspace between the point on his head and the bottom of that observation, but I bet if he looked up he could see the contrail.>>>
What gems ,( perhaps trinkets may be more appropriate ).. can you offer ? Other than trying to fillet a known artisan in his craft ? You in my estimation , if you could would have a huge pair of shoes to fill . That only after the task of months if not years getting anyone to actually listen your little trinkets . I have a mental vision , if you were to have your way selling the Indians huge chunks of the fertile land for a few plastic beads bought in the Five and Dime. Lets see what ya got Rozzie.Plastic , paper , or perhaps you can add some real Gold or Silver ? Bring it on .>>>
CIAK don't know which part u dont understand but i will try this way, A person knowing from years of experience is one thing but a person just directing you is another anybody can look things up. its a forum for your opinion is it not ?????????????? Anybody can do www. help me.com. VAA has a problem with others questioning his thought process........Y post ???? (check his posts) being a torchaholic and one minded has nothin to offer other fields of roofin. I have seen alot of his work and some of its very nicely done. Other parts i have questioned and this is where we dont see eye to eye. Inspectors would laugh at some of his pics posted. Read back on some topic's find a person questioning VAAHACKER and you will see.>>>
It makes sense if you take it all-in, as a whole. To the trained typist, executing the word 'y-o-u' is essentially a single motion. To the untrained typist who lacks dexterity with both the ring and pinky fingers, someone who is ostensibly a hunt and pecker, eliminating the 'y' and the 'o' is a substantial labor savings. Why that type of craftsman would deliberately pick a fight with a demiurge is beyond me, but it happens. Arrogance can withstand neither humility nor mirror so it must avoid them both like the plague.>>>
rozie roofer. That made absolutely no sense. Quality roofers like Mike have many many resources and some of it in a humble way comes by disseminating knowledge learned from others. You of course may have been born all knowing perhaps . Mike NZ is a fine craftsmen in his field of knowledge it would be a wise person to pick up a few tips !! ;)>>>
Wywoody In order to have a good topic with some substance behind it u would have to invite people with knowledge not people directing you to knowledge that would exclude VAAhacker >>>
I have a lot of respect for waterproofers, who are succeesful w/ their applications on brick and concrete structures, particularly hi-risers. Which gives rise to an important question;if cementious surfaces are coated w/ an impenetrable seal coat of whatever material, any moisture contained within same is entrapped, and would ultimately freeze and pop when thawed and expand. Are there any products available that can perform similar to your skin, which would repel water and expel moisture (sweat). Closest thing I ever encountered was silicone coating, which unfortunately has a limited life. Furthermore. I don t believe it is any longer available, because of the VOC laws required in shipping.>>>
elcid, years ago, I was working on a big house and an old guy came in to to a coating on a deck. I was talking to him when he made the claim that he wasn't just a roofer, he was a waterproofer. That was the first time I had heard of waterproofer being referred to being a different catagory than from roofers, so I asked him to explain the difference. After a long drawn out explaination, I said to him, "so the difference all boils down to attention to detail". He told me I understood.>>>
Car parks (elevated or subsurface parking garages) require the best that roofers can provide. Most, if not all are concrete structures, with the inevitable expansion joints. Generally, roofers can make the areas watertight - however, these buried joints introduce another problem, along w/ the perimeter flashings. Many rubberized coating concotions have been tried w/ mixed success. Are there any methods available that would guarantee or bond their systems for 10 - 20 years.>>>
You could always pretend not to know something to invite a Mac Attack.>>>
Is anybody else noticing that it is slow taking in posts lately? The site seems to be slow.>>>
I have been chasing my tail so much lately that it's been difficult to chime in much. I had over 100 call in March for roof quotes and repairs. That's like 3 a day and I am trying to hit as many as I can. But the paperwork involved is overwhelming. I know that 1/2 of the time I am just wasting my efforts but you never know which ones are going to pay off. At this time of year and in this economic climate I hate to let any chances get by. Time to get out and sell some more this morning. I have 3 hours until the Grandkids come by. After that work can just wait.>>>
