As much as I like you Mike I just don't get why you weren't bitchin' up a storm with BUSH. Since Ohbama came on the scene, you rant like a women going through menopause...Sorry ladies...been there done that. If nothing else, the recent developments in Wisconsin and Indiana, should prove that there is difference between republican and democrats. Doug we were posting at the same time. I'm registered as a Democrat. I was an Independent for years, but I couldn't vote locally as an Independent. So I picked one. I would rather be called a Concerned Citizen rather than a Donkey or an Elephant. :silly: Happy Patty

Well at least we agree to disagree. Her race is a non issue with me, I voted for her and it had nothing to do with womenhood either. She is sharp & stern, she just needs the time. Happy Patty Today. :laugh:

Keep in mind 6 months is really just a blink of an eye in politics, LOL!!!

They say a new president will get the most done in the first 100 days. I guess a mayor needs a lot longer???

My guess is if she's not getting a high approval after 6 months she won't get much of an approval after 1 year, 1.5 years, 2 years, etc.

Speaking of Somolians, did you ever see that documentary on the Discovery channel about the hijacking of that US vessel a couple years ago? Gotta say that was the best documentary I've ever seen! The idea of them being so stupid to be towed back to "town" behind a US military boat with snipers on board is beyond stupid really. I bet you could hear the snapping sound for a mile or so across the water when the US snipers took there kill shots. Tivo'd it and showed it to all my friends. Kept telling them the best part is yet to come.

Now they got another US boat right now... You would think they would have learned something from the other incident? Doubt they will get the top military snipers this time, sad really.

To be totaly honest I've got close friends that are both rep's and dem's. When we meet for dinner with the rep's is fine dining as all my rep friends are coe's, vp's, presidents, and business owners. My dem friends on the other hands although very nice people are on welfare of some sort or another. We talk politics but always joke around. I think I've come close to getting one to see the light but he's got a ways to go.

It's funny though about a few of my rep friends. It don't matter were we go out or how much they won't let me pay a dime... The opposite is very true of my dem friends!!!

I met with my tax guy the other day and he made the comment that now a days the dems and reps are really the same as they make promisses up and down to get in and once there in the hot seat they just sit back and do nothing!!!
