I agree Mike, slow and too serious. So this should shake things up or NOT. I was MIA because I just spent 49 days in the County Prison. Now that is a chapter of my book that I thought would never be written. I had said in the Addiction thread that I was heading to court in October and expected to be chewed up & spit out. Well I hit that nail on the head. Straight to jail and DO NOT pass go. Being truly unfamiliar with courts, PO's,evaluations, probations and all the other BS that goes with it, I got sucked into the system.

It was truly an eye opening experience and NOT all was bad. This was a county jail, not state. Shared my cell with 5 different women independently. Each their own characters. Shared the block with 39 others. Talk about characters. ROFLMAO. I never belly laughed so much in my life. I've never seen so many naked women in my life all shapes & sizes. Cover your eyes, you don't want to look.

I could go on forever, about everything. So ask away, What did you always want to know about women in prison". The not guilties, food, lesbos, entertainment, gaurds, crying, laughing, reading, crocheting, lets not forget fighting. Do you wanna compare tatoos? Yours truly, enlightened PC

Good evening gentlemen, Tico I was amazed at the amount of bible classes they had. I even went to two a week. God was everyones friend in there, for various reasons..enlightenment, feeling helpless, needing something to believe in, getting an hour off the block. I liked them myself, haven't attended anything religious for ages. I can truly understand how long timers do find the Lord.

Mike, 1. do more research to avoid going in the first place. Totally avoidable,(don't D & D ) my own ignorance about the workings dealing with the law. 2. If you have the bucks to pay the lawyers more can be done on your behalf. 3. The system is tough, you must ask the right questions of the right people at the right time. 4. Once your there, you do all the work with many limitations to get your ass out. I'm mainly referring to DUI cases. Most ladies in there were for good reasons. It was a mix of murder, attempted manslaughter, shoplifters, embezzlement, bad checks, aiding & abedding & of course drug dealing. The bad asses were there for appeals. 5. Not a fun place to be BUT you make the best of it. Mind your business, avoid the Alphas (FNG's like me are a form of entertainment if you let them), if the gaurds say jump....ask how high. 6. You can use the prison issue toothpaste for hair gel & glue, the top of a pen lodged in the concrete block is great for hanging your towel, how to knot the sheet so it stays on the concrete mattress they provide, they use the teeth of the 5" comb they provide to keep their piercing holes open, use yarn for flossing your teeth, put vaseline in the cracks so ants don't come in. So much to learn and not enough time.

No tatoos for me. Some were doing their own with bad results, 3 got 20 days in the hole for that stupidity. Besides the gloom of it all there were many funny funny moments. Had to be there to appreciate.

They thing that blew me away was that a lot of them knew each other from the neighborhood or their last visit there. Quite a few were regulars, in and out, in and out. It was like old home week.

Tinner, take my word for it, not a pretty picture. We all looked alike in our lovely Reds. PC

tico

I built 4 years for NC.as A result of going from bing a wild kid,to A hellion to being A hell maker. prison was the best thing I've ever been confronted with.prior to that I quit everything.school, army,on life,on society,on family,on self.in that order. the NCDOC got me back on track.it was the first thing of many since that I didn't/couldn't quit.I got clean, did my time, with just A few conflicts, which for me is great.I loved to fight and learned the art/sport side of it so was well versed.yet I subdued my ego, walked the talk and got release. I've never looked back.no one has to look into that rearview mirror. find your path and honor it and us.Good fortune to you and yours these holidays.
