Oh Crap, She's Back!

Well folks I am moving back in to the RoofersCoffeeShop.com. I had to stay away (long bad lawsuit story) but I am finally at the point where I can sit down and participate. I have waited a long time for today.

I think I have finally positioned myself so that the RCS is no longer something I fit in when I can but it can now be my job. I can finally do what I really wanted for all of you. I have revamped the website, set up all the social stuff and have gotten 10 ed advertisers (for the banner ads) that in turn for allowing me to work at this full time and supporting this website I help them with their advertising. Let’s be nice to them.

I didn’t participate at all in the RCS because it was so upsetting (long bad lawsuit story) seeing that old site just gave me a bad pit in my stomach. But good old Steve, a few terrific, loyal advertisers that stuck it out and you guys just wouldn’t let the RCS die. So we’re still in business. What should we do next?

I have two items of business that I would like to address with all of you: First, the thing that has bothered me (and Mike H) most over the years was losing some of the Forum posts to error and virus. I sit around lamenting about all the great advice that was lost and then I had a thought, let’s recreate them. They are not lost, they are stored in our heads. We all remember those special tips that mean something to us. Let’s just post them again. I remember quite a few forum topics that I really loved that were thought provoking. Let’s try and remember our favorites and re-write them.

Second, I want to find the old guys that got pissed or lost interest and went away and ask them to come back. Each day I am going to bring up a name and we can all try and remember where to find them and I am going to contact them and ask them for forgiveness.

I feel like I am starting the best job in the world. Thank you so much for keeping the faith all these years.

Any way to dig up the old member profiles for us to access?

Just cleaned up all the interlopers on the site. Been working hard on finishing up my old work life (3-weeks left). Gonna spend all my new life writing about roofing, so keep posting so I can steal your stuff and make myself look good! I am officially launching the new improved website in a few days. All in all this has taken 15 years to get it to this point. I contacted a former employee and have had them digging up the Old Photo's of the Month, RCSers of the month and old forum topics. AND I found Scott! I emailed him and he emailed me back. I am gonna sit down and write him in a minute. Life is good.

Gerry,

Scott's KleenKutter biz is no more, from my understanding. I do not remember details, but I think Scott was in a bad auto accident that took him out of commission for an extended period. To long for the business to survive. But it was two years ago when the person who probably told that story did so, and the details are foggy.

Queen Vickie, to borrow a line from Adele, Rumor Has It, that the "wordy" (it was scott that first penned that, thanks to over 12,000 posts and who knows how many volumes, ) "King", can't remember who's bright idea that name was, has cut off his tongue and tossed his crown in the moat.

Instead of spending hours pontificating in the mirror, he spends his time on more fruitful endeavors.

Now, if you want to talk about airplanes on treadmills, I'm game. But without Anita, it just won't be the same.

Good to see you back in the saddle there, Darlin'. Yee Haw!!!

Funny you should mention him. I emailed him 2 days ago and it came back as undeliverable. I am trying to look up all the old guys. What a really nice man. He got in a bad car wreck and that's when we lost track of him.

Losing those old posts is such a shame. There were some real posts that really had a very positive influence on me and my business. Things that helped me realize what I was doing wrong and how to price my work to actually make a profit. It would be great to recreate them but it will take ages to do it, if it can be done.

Has anybody heard from Scott from Kleen Kutter lately? Always wondered what happened with him.

Welcome back...I have not been coming here much in the last 5-6 months myself. I kind of wondered what was happening to this site. Glad to see you back. Best of luck!

Flattery could get you a few flirtuous followers and comments! Be careful! Might even get me to stay?

Did you know that if there is enough windspeed, a plane sitting on a conveyor could lift off?
