While sitting on the ridge and chatting with the adjuster he said, "Well sir, there's no question, this apartment complex is totaled!"

twill59 Said: Its nuts isnt it Tim? Why go to so much trouble to avoid truth? One golly gee f/ed up industry....
Yep, especially when the damage is so obvious. My dad was a claims manager for Mid Continent Casualty in the 60's and he said that sometimes adjusters were instructed to "buy customers" by paying flimsy hail claims, and that sometimes legitimate claims were to be denied.
I had 1 adjuster threaten to throw me off a roof, and another threaten to whip me, all because I argued that the roofs had hail damage when they didn't want to pay.
It's nuts isn't it Tim? Why go to so much trouble to avoid "truth"? One golly gee f/ed up industry....
Twill, trust me, the opposite is also true. I've had many adjusters see the severe hail damage and then want to nitpic because there was no damage in a tiny corner of the roof protected by a dense tree.
I have had countless adjusters tell me I couldn't prove the impacts/fractures were caused by hail, when the whole town was gollywhopped with baseball sized hail and in the back ground you could hear the sound of dozens of shingles roofs being installed.
Robert, I doubt Roof Medic is involved in the installation of that roof - that is illegal now.
I believe you. It's the photo that is not convincing, not the shingles.
Like GAK sez, up in this area, you can use a magnifying glass, not find any hail hits, and still watch someone get a "free roof"
Here are some more- I don't like to waste anybody's time. When I call it hail, it's hail!

Like Tom says, it's hard to tell from the picture but I would say that Yes, that is hail damage Never ever seen anything like that around here. I could post a picture of what the stormchasers call hail damage around here but it would look like a perfectly fine shingle. Because that's what they are replacing.
Honestly, I can't tell if it is hail or lichen in that photo
I had some that looked like that on the westbank storm about 4 years ago powervents were flattened
That's how it should look before a claim is paid. No bogus claims where there isn't even any damage visible to the naked eye.
Looks like you got a nice roofing job there, when you going to start. How many squares is this project? were working the baton rouge hail storm just started signing them up!
