A recent job grew 20fold. I picked up the copper to redo two chimneys, 4 valleys and a flat roof. the flat roof isn't big, but I have to coordinate phases with a GC as it gets rebuilt and nothing there will be the same when I start. I spent today laying out and cutting sheets to figure the post configurations. It'll change. I'm putting in some fudge factor so hopefully each piece is right or too large.

To get an idea I could visualize, I popped lines in part of the shop and set out a couple or 6x6's to help.

I pay from $190.-$250. a 3x10 sheet of 20 oz. Pieces? I make my own because each job is different and the pieces aren't always interchangable.

The dollar is losing value like a stone falling in the air right now. Don't worry, it is going to get much worse.

Finished with the detail tinning and set up the solder vat/tray.

Got out more sheets and sliced two. Thought about it and went over to my mockup on the floor and took measurements between the roof hatch and the perimeter metal. Looks like I can only use about 8 standard panels of 18'x24". Everything else will be be custom fit no matter how I change the pattern. Sure keeps it fun and real! BTW, nails are now $422. a box and solder $499.

Making headway. Some pieces are tinned. I can see where this is going now. Eventually. I hope to use the dipping tray to tin larger panels. Still leery at this point. Nobody has decided on the size, or lacation of the roof hatch.

I may end of with some scrap to sell. I've been through 5 sheets of 20 oz so far.

Old School Said: Way too much stuff on the table.
Got that right! I'm way behind in using that for wind clips, cleats, bibs, and various other things.

The stuff on the floor and the other table are are being cut and fitted so ALL joints and verticals will be flat-locked. Nothing has been tinned yet either. So many shapes, cuts, and details involved, I won't be able to use the vat for lots of it.
