My 60th Birthday

2 weeks from now on the 25th of June I will be 60. I hated my 40's, embrased my 50's don't have a clue about the 60's . It sounds old within itself. I am the youngest of 4, the baby. The only girl, woohoo. This is the potential plan....limo to the local casino, have fun and lose $$$ from there a local bar have regrets later. It will be fun for the night BUT I still have to live with the 60 syndrome. I'm not coming to terms with that. Some of you are already there. Give me some solice Please. The numbers are fn with my head, although I know I am a grandmother, a mother, a daughter, a sister. Sixty is not comfortable. Make me feel better. PC.........seeking comfort.

Tin Man please tell me it's gonna be good, I don't climb ladders, is that the secret? Is that what I have to start doing? I'm afraid of heights. I think I'm chit out of luck PC

I will be 67 yrs old in Oct.. Still have to go up some 60' ladders. The older I get, the better I was.

OS It is not fun. Mom sounded great today will see her tomorrow. It is nice so many of your family are around to help if needed with your parents. I'm IT. OS I just heard my Mom say that her life alert thing was making noise so she threw it out. I have my work cut out for me this week.

Anyway I turned 60 today, my birthday, nothing happened, But I'll be 60 for a year, I'll make things happen. We can never expect what we want. PC

My mom and dad are both in their late 80's and still live at home. There are 14 of us and 12 live "close" (within 20 miles). We just got them a call button so that we can come over at any time to help them. They don't want to be taken to a hospital if they fall, just help to get up and into bed if necessary. Hell, I feel old at almost 60 and they are definetly old. There is a lot to be said for dying in your sleep after a full life in this "valley of tears" I have had a lot of fun though. I think it is mostly a choice.

It's official. NO denying. The 29s don't add up anymore. MOM is home, brother not coming. Life is still good at 60. PC

So much for that. Mom sick in hospital, comimg home to me, Brother in from Philly, I can hardly wait. Yaa Hoo. PC

Lanny, that is what I wanted to hear. Thank You. Plans have already changed, my brother already in his 60's has changed his mind. Now he is going with wife to NC from Philly to see Taylor Swift. She is playing in Philly in August, after I called him NUTS and told him to mark off work in August, see her local, he said "yeah that's a better idea"......is this what I have to look forward to?

So much for the casino & limo. LOL PC

Os you are right , the closer I get the better I feel, just got the jitters. Changing decades just seems to get my attention. Once it is over I will be good to go.
