I just found out you cannot buy a motorcycle in PA on Sunday. You can buy parts & pieces but not a bike. Even the newscasters tonight were in surprise. Welcome to PA the land of laws and taxes. :S PC

Many states don't allow automobile sales on Sundays... and many more counties still have the law. If I remember right, it's still around 15 states that ban it.

This goes back to colonial times, around 1780. In its strictest sense, “blue law”* refers to an edict designed to regulate public activities on the Sabbath, which meant Sunday to the Congregationalists of that day. In common parlance, the term blue law was expanded to include several different areas of behavior:

Even in Detroit, you can't buy a car on a Sunday.

You can't even buy a Harley in Milwaukee. Talk about a sacrilege.
