We have about 3 feet on the ground here right now and more is coming in the next week. Maybe another 8 to 10 inches. No where to push it and it is starting to have to be hauled away. Wow, what a winter. Just what I have been hoping for.

It must be the snow!
How'd that happen? I lost the pic I wanted to post :cheer:

Zero this morning with a minus 5 wind chill. 6 or 7 more inches of lake effect snow this weekend with more coming this next week. Very light and very fluffy, but it is still snow. My daughter came home this weekend to play in the snow. she got her wish. Snow shoeing, and skiing. A winter like I remember from my early years. Hey, I gotta go plow some snow.
Yes gerry, the snow is sparkling here too. You can look and see the individual "diamonds". I'd like to split some wood too. I just don't want to dig through all of the snow to get to the wood pile. :(
I did see the pics. I had to copy and paste it myself though...jeez!
If your happy w/ 3' of snow, I'm happy for ya! I'm going to be chopping wood all day to get me through this winter. I wasn't prepared!
I like the snow and this is exactly the type of winter I had hoped for. It got cold about December 10 and has been below freezing almost since then. Lots of snow and no real reason to try and work because it is too dangerous. A good time to be off from work. It is pretty and fun to play in as long as you are dressed for it.
Hey, were any of you able to look at the pictures from the link I posted. I have tried to post the link and then drag it over to the URL icon on the page, but when I do that it comes up with an error. I don't know why!
We must have a full 2' on the ground right now. Really tough to walk in. 5' piles along my driveway. Piles everywhere, feel like I have shoveled my driveway at least 50 times this season. Winter has got to end sometime. Haven't seen one quite like this one.
We got another 2" today, real light and fluffy. Just went out to clean off the driveway again and I had to come back in to get my wife to come out and see it. Everything sparkles like billions of tiny lights all over the snow and evry time you turn your head it just twinkles. Really beautiful.
Oh, and I'm happy for you guys! You must live up there because you like cold weather right??
We get snow, then it melts shortly thereafter and we have mud. But at least we can work a day here and there!
But it does make the landscape beautiful! Nothing like a full moon over a sheet of ice.
We got 3" the other night, the top half being ice. We've been getting ice like crazy the last few years.
My driveway is about 100 yards down a hill w/ a good corner thrown in...all basically on a rock. It doesn't hurt my feelings not to have visitors.
I did plow it w/ the bobcat when all this started in December w/ ~12" of snow. Bobcat sprung a leak, got stuck, truck got stuck, tractor BARELY got them out. It was a true fight.
We only have 1 ft or so on the ground OS. Did not see more snow in the forecast. OK, 2" today. But the cold is not supposed to let up until Thursday.
OTOH, I never really watch the forecast too closely when it is always More of the Same
