Modern Staple went up for auction

---I spent 4 days at the auction where 2.5 mil worth of tools and equipment and fasteners were sold. The tools went above wholesale so I watched for hours as contractors, retailers and end users bid far too high in my opinion. ---Today they finally got to the warehouse where pallets of fasteners went at a good price. Right off the top over 600 cases of 1 3/4 coil nails went for $5/box. I didn't bid as I have plenty of those. I took the 1 1/4, all the stainless, lots of screws and lots of misc. some for $1/box. It is going to be a major event to get it all put away at my shop as I believe I got over 100 pallets. ---We are out of work so this should keep myself and my helper busy for at least a week. It is times like this when it really upsets me that I haven't got my permit for my pole building after over 4 years. It would be so nice to have that storage this week. Lanny

---As for A-11's I did find a pallet of 80 cases in the mix. ---So far I have only found 1 1/4 Stainless coil nails. I have a pallet of 7/8 stainless comp staples and lots of 7/16 x 1 3/4 stainless shake staples also. Today was our 3rd 10 hour day hauling stuff home. Tomorrow should be it. Lanny

I didn't bid on any A-11's as I have quite a few cases and I didn't consider them a hot resale item. I checked Lowe's today and saw that small plastic containers of Paslode finish nails go for $25. I am glad I got those pallets. Lanny

Did You get any A-11 hammer tacker staples? I don't need 2k worth, less than $50 might last the rest of my career.

---Called a contractor buddy and sold him 2k worth of fasteners. I will be selling the excess for at least a year. Lanny
