Talking to grandaughter , listening to Janis Joplin, my new found tape. Not a CD a tape, remember them? I explained to her that she died in the '70's , my grandaughter 7 asked was that before I was born.
Yes I missed the bus again, thank God the school is only 1/2 mile away.
I didn't miss the bus today, let's see how I do for next 2 days.
Got a lecture from the 7 year old about being on time, funny as hell.
Was told I can't say hell, I owe her a nickel. God she will make a fortune off me. PC
I am 41 and the yougest in a family of five....They listen to them all. When I got my own place @ 19, asked my mom for the consule radio (2 ft x 5 ft long)that had a record player and an 8-track. Hit all the thrift stores to round up my collection.
Great sound for an 8-track. B)
You are all telling your ages, If you know what an 8 track is. When you think about it, it's funny as hell. PC
Sorry, everytime I read this I think of Lloyd Christmas telling Harry Dunn: Fell off the jetway again. :cheer:
whats an 8 track?.. just kidding, lol. when i was 16 i found my dads old 8 track collection, and he still had the player. so curious i played the doors, and loved it and a whole bunch of others: zepplin, beatles, hendrix. etc. so i still listen to those types now. in my opinion alot of the new music out now especially rap is crap. btw thanks dad you saved me from listening to lady gaga, lol.
I like to listen to Janis Joplin on 8-track....the cd is just too clear a sound for her type of music!
I made the bus today!!!! The little one took Tulips with her to give to friends. Too damn cute. She gave me one too. That was after she was pissed at me. I guess I'm OK now.   PC
shaggy I think we all have missed the bus and that's OK we have more fun than those that didn't miss the bus. I knew my roofers they all missed the bus too. I'm having a couple come over for Easter , I'm kicked out of my own kitchen. I asked "do you want turkey or ham " answer was yes. They are bringing the turkey, me the ham. Picking them up Saturday, cooking all day Sunday, taking home Monday. You gotta love it.
Jim, I love listening to Janis, I'm sorry she is gone. The passion she put into her music was incredible. Cry Cry Baby & Summertime. We lost a special person, :( PC
I loved listening to Janis Joplin. I had one of her albums but I don't remember which one. I also like Haley because she can do the Janis thing.
i missed the bus too, think thats how i ended up a roofer, lol.
