I have 6 sq of gray if anyone needs to make repairs...
Thanks Chick. Nice example of how not to install flashing, and a few other mistakes too.
Boy, they did a lot of marketing when they were going to come out with them. It was going to be the next best thing since sliced white bread! It is amazing to me the number of new "inovations" that are brought onto the market and blaze for a short time and then dissappear, leaving a lot of us holding the bag, so to speak. So many of the imatations are just that; and bad ones at that. I have installed a few of the Ecostar slate tiles and I am not too impressed with them. I do believe that if you take the time to do them right they are "Okay", but so many people just gun them down that the quality is not what it should be and the failures are sure to catch up with them a lot sooner than later.
How can they give a 50 year guarantee on a product that has been on the market for 2 or 3 years?
I did a couple of of big lamarite jobs a few years back and I knew then they wouldnt hold up. Cant believe they keep em on the market for this long.
Nothing looks quite like the real thing as the real thing. go figure.
That's too bad. It had a nice look.
I didnt realize they had to be broomed down,no wonder thier failing? :woohoo:
