Hello all great forum you have here. I am in search of a ladder hook that will fit over the peak of roof without damaging the shigled over ridge vent. The only ones I can seem find are made by qual-craft or acro. In the pictures it seems like they might damage the ridge vent because the radius of the curve isn't enough. Has anybody else used these ones with a shingled over ridge vent. I have to replace the caps and ridge vent because the HO isn't happy with the way last guy did it (among other things). It's one story 12/12 roof. Any and all help would be greatly appreciatted.

I've always stretched A 40 and backed it up at the gtound by driving A staub, then tying the ladder to it.if I need more distance I half my 24 and tie it to the 40. I'll use an old sheet folded in half twice under the second ladder where it touches down to the roof.

First ladder to roof line. Screw eye into fascia, tie ladder off then run the second ladder up the roof resting on the one tied off. Works like a charm. Easy :)

Can't help with a lead for the ladder that you are looking for, but you could always put in hooks and a 2X6 along the bottom edge of the roof and put a longer ladder on top of the 2X.
