My neighbor is having her roof done, it is an ordinary early 70's ranch attached garage, I'm guessing 20 sq. up the front down the back, no valleys, you couldn't get simplier than that. Today is day 3, equipment still there so a day 4 comes into play. Three men and a young boy... is this the norm? I know it has been 10 years since I've been involved in roofing BUT my guys would have had it done in a day, finish flashing the next and done. Any input? Or were my guys just that good?

They aren't every day roofers and have to think about every move. If they were paying my overhead, they wouldn't be making much money.

My crew of 10 guys did 40sq off and on Monday w/ 6 valleys and two chimneys. 4/12 go fast roof. 10 hours. I had an extra laborer that day, I don't normally like that many men on one roof unless it's the right roof.

Next day I had 5 guys(that's why I keep a large crew) that replaced 20sq in 10 hours, little more step flashing on this one.
