On me. Now I'm all creepy crawlly. I have 4 cats now I have to check them everyday, YUCK. It has been so damp here of late. I hate those critters. PC
Heres an interesting link that everyone should read. http://www.jihadwatch.org/2011/05/geert-wilders-a-warning-to-america.html
and you can't legally try to stop them, thanks to the liberal state supreme court.
Patty, you don't have to sell me on anything. One of the nice things about forums is that no one forces anyone to open a thread or post in it.
Tick talk is fine with me.
This seems like the perfect thread for this: http://orangepunch.ocregister.com/2011/05/10/lifeguarding-in-oc-is-totally-lucrative-some-make-over-200k/44783/
According to the Orange County Register the lifeguards in Newport Beach can make more than 200k per year.
"...t might be time for a career change. According to a city report on lifeguard pay for the calendar year 2010, of the 14 full-time lifeguards, 13 collected more than $120,000 in total compensation; one lifeguard collected $98,160.65. More than half the lifeguards collected more than $150,000 for 2010 with the two highest-paid collecting $211,451 and $203,481 in total compensation respectively. Even excluding benefits like health care and pension, more than half the lifeguards receive a total salary, including overtime pay, exceeding $100,000. And they also receive an annual allowance of $400 for “Sun Protection.†Many work four days a week, 10 hours a day...."
Jim, maybe I have been here too long, I KNOW THIS IS A ROOFING FORUM but the people have changed. Through the past 8 years "WE" have experienced spouses deaths, parental deaths, new babies, grandbabies, share animal stories, employee blytes, insurance questions and tragedies, equipment questions & answers. Most of all a lot of joking around, funny stuff. Our kids accomplishments & disappointments, football, softball & TICKS
Oh I forgot to mention ROOFING!!!! PC
If strictly roofing is the issue, I guess I'm out of here. PC
twill59 Said: shouldnt this be on facebook?
She might as well yak about ticks. There really isn't that much roof talk going on.
Ticks are a fact of life for me and many others around here in the summer. When I go morel mushroom hunting it's always bad. I've had up to 35 of the little bastards on me at once, some super small and some normal size. None are like the big blood suckers normally found on dogs, though.
Sorry to bore you Twill but from other posts I know many of us have pets. Pets bring in and get ticks which can be dangerous. I'll do my best to curtail my comments to roofing. Oh I haven't roofed in 4 years so I rarely comment on it anymore. Adversity can work wonders. I'll back off! PC
Twill you are so insensitive.... Naw, thats just funny.
shouldn't this be on facebook?
