Just a Question???

Following this site for 7/8 years now I have witnessed changes not only in participants but content. This may be wonderful to some that it is has turned almost strictly roofing. It surprises me because in the early years so much was discussed from soup to nuts. Personal and non personal. Politics, religion, airplanes, fast cars, insurance, lifestyles, our kids, families, music, jokes & funny stories.

I understand the connection of sharing your work, seeking assistance on a job, looking for advice, this site is exceptional on that. You have the glory of experience and acceptance. Aholes not allowed.

Don't you wonder, I do.

Anita & Andy how are the kids doing? football the big thing. MikeH the grandchild is now 1 1/2 yrs..no stories? Frank..how's LouAnn doing? MikeNZ..How's Marlene doing? TRG..you have babies too. Vickie & Steve are you happy with this LULL? Ciak..I know your lurking Bobby..I know where to find you, I just find the Ferrarri Lefty..inspirational, the quiet man Our Philly Poet..forgive me for not remembering your name..I know you guys know of whom I speak Old School, JET, and so many others that escape me at the moment, please don't feel left out The newcomers don't know this side of this site. Roofing is a great trade for those that are cut out for it like a driver on an 18 wheeler. NOT FOR EVERYONE.

Mike I have to share this. Last week I had both girls 12 & 6. The 6 yr old is on my heels, has to be doing whatever Grandma is doing. I was clearing brush out back and she was climbing on the rock poking around with a stick. She told me about a birds nest that she found, I told her please leave it alone you'll upset the mommy & babies, she said " oh there wasn't babies, just eggs like people eggs we had this morning, they broke the same way". I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. She now knows to leave bird nests alone. Early lessons about the birds & bees.

This darling child was maulled by a St. Bernard in January, her face permanently scared. Her resilience is extrodinary. But she is only 6. She healed well but this will be with her the rest of her life. What a challenge she has ahead of her. She is my little tom-boy full off spunk & vigor. PC

I saved some of those "wordy" posts Mike, along with a variety of other stuff as the years rolled by. If you would like to see some of it again, just to know for a fact that it wasn't all lost, I can email you. I just tried to copy and paste one here and it didn't work too well at all. Got a great one also of Wally C expoundifying in his peerless style about insurance/courts/etc. He addressed us as "fellow roofertoids." Remember that?

All is well, as well as can be for the way the economy has affected us. The grandson is great, life moves along, and we keep plugging away. But as for my argumentative, helpful, and "wordy" posts, those all came to and end when the archive was lost. I realized I spent too much of my life on something that didn't last, and I moved on.

Hey, Big Ben got screwed, and that is what he was after...All of us are going to have to pay more for the Healthcare "bail out" Hang onto your wallet or quit working. AIG was too big to fail; Oh and they also handle the congressional retirement and healthcare so you know they couldn't go down. Frank..how's LouAnn doing? So-so. Had 2 more surgeries, and broke her leg between them. Been hospital bound most of last year. Laid up until Mar. Got back on her feet and tore up the other knee the day she took her cast off. Had a surgery a month ago, just life, as they say. No more scheduled surgery for 4-5 months.
