Yes Mike you did. All the foamguys came on here after experiencing an epiphany of sorts, and admitted that emulsion roof systems are far superior to all other roof systems. I cautioned them that, while I appreciated their praise and their finally coming to terms with reality, I thought their posts were needlessly harsh to themselves and that they should delete- them before a lot of people saw them. I further suggested that a couple of them trash our company so that nobody would be suspicious and it would seem like everything here is back to normal. And here we are. :)

Go back and look at how this all started -- a shot across my bow from Jed, right out of the blue. It's kinda like in the NFL, Charles Woodson takes a swing at Tony Romo, Romo swings back and the refs call the penalty on Romo. I still suspect Jed's a guy I refused to sell a rig to, or works for such a guy. I don't know what else would explain his hangup with me.

TRG, slander is not the same as "speaking frankly." And even after several guys slandered us in years gone by, I pretty much ignored it as sourgraping and blew it off. But when you hide behind anonymity and slander with the express intention of causing damage, that crosses the line. If you're man enough to make an accusation, be man enough to attach your name to it. That's not too much to ask. Jed would never say the things he's said here with his name attached. Why do you suppose that is?

Slander is a word tossed about willy-nilly these days, but it has a very well-defined meaning. Saying on this forum that our company lost a lawsuit then conventiently post the part of a judgement that leaves out the judge's ruling of "rescission of the contract" as the judgement, is clearly slander. Look up rescission, it means "the unwinding of a contract," essentially it means a tie. Not only was that clearly slander, it may have been damaging.

There were several other similar examples where rumor and heresay were brought here and representad as fact. How much of that crap are we supposed to sit back and endure? I suspect, TRG, if someone did that to your company you'd be jumping on their chest with both feet...and maybe cleats. :-)

We're all big boys here. We all know that if you do enough business with enough different people, a certain percentage of them will be unhappy with the experience. Personalities conflict, or that well-known human condition rears its head where people have a hard time blaming themselves for their failures so they point the blame elsewhere. Heck, one of the longest-lasting, most bitter battles this forum ever saw was one that erupted when I refused to sell a rig to "Scooter," because I felt he lacked adequate roofing experience. I got a threatening letter from an attorney because I refused to sell a rig in Garden City, KS also, because we had a customer nearby. Sheesh! Sometimes even when you try to do the honorable thing and put profit as a lower priority you get beaten up for it. It's no wonder I'm the only one stupid enough to bring my company's name here - it's an act of business suicide!

And yet after all that, Jed (As for "Slander" ......all I will say is keep talking) tosses not-so-veiled threats from the safety of his Anonymity Bunker. I suspect there's a very good reason he stays hidden in the bushes...

I tried to sign in Sat, Sun, Monday morning and got the "your account is invalid message" to me this meant I had been "banned" so I figured well f/k you I don't need you either and hadn't revisited since. Then TRG called me a little while ago and we had a little chat and he told me of Woody's post and Lo and behold I was active again. All I can assume is a someone got with the boss threatening lawsuits for slander and such, and well you know how it goes. I have a penchant for not holding my tounge and coupled with not "suffering fools gladly" or those who seek to advance their own agenda at others expense, tend to lose it sometimes, so for that I apologise. Thanks for the concern/support Woody and all. As for "Slander" ......all I will say is keep talking.

Believe me,Jed is no wallflower,and won`t be taking a backseat,or not speaking his mind as he wills,The day people start getting blocked for speaking frankly,and straightforward is the day I will lose my taste for this forum.

FWIW, I didn't ask for Jed or anyone else to be kicked off this forum. Perhaps someone explained to him the difference between simple "belligerance" and slander, and he realized that hiding behind the rock of anonymity while throwing slander-stones is not a cool thing to do.

Or, maybe he's just busy.

I hope you're right. I'd hate to see him blocked or kicked off. Sure, he can be belligerent and has a knack for the ugliest avatars on the net, but I've also seen many days that he carried this forum.
