I will actually be doing "real" roofing this winter. During the summer, I took a management gig with a big corporation. Haven't swung a hammer to make a buck in almost 1/2 a year. Can't wait to get to "work" this winter when I (hopefully) get laid off. I'll make more in a week than I'd make in a month working with my company.

I'll easily do more in one winter month than I made all year.

We do some snow and ice removal. Some siding. Some new construction roofing. Some tear offs. Also rent out a fish house which is a nice venture...

In next 24 hours we'll get hit with 6-8 inches of snow and have a 65sq new roof sitting with paper on it. Right after that is a bigger 10/12. Seems like the past few Winters there have been some really big new roofs to do.

Unemployment checks. I love it!
