Those guys are really something else. Wonder what they did before roofing?
The second link is them repairing a shingle roof with pitch good and thick and granules! :woohoo:
I bet you they have drivers licenses! They certainly have push broom licenses! I had to laugh when I saw all that platic roof cement piled at the corners of the metal flashing! Platic roof cement on the joints of the coping metal too. Lots of it and plenty thick to seal it up right. It will never leak! Whoa, what is this guy thinking? What is the building owner thinking?
Someone had patched the roof with hot and more gravel in the middle where the guy was trying to torch it smooth. I wonder what he was thinking to himself? Ah, more heat! I'll bet they had 500#'s per foot on the roof where they had all of the stones piled before they started to shovel it back into place. If that was between a bar joist, it surely flexed the deck and moved a ply or two. Good Grunt!
seen-it-all Said: Try tearing it all off in a couple of years and the owner cant understand why you a re charging so much for labour. Each 3 x 5 chunk takes two men to pack off the roof to the bin. :woohoo: :woohoo:
Unless the next contractor happens to core into the mastic smears he's likely to get blindsided with the unexpected tearoff expense.
Holy crap, what are the licensing requirements where this outfit is located?
Wow!
He should watch it himself, and listen to himself. If he really believes it, he would have put the granules over it before he had the guy dump all of the gravel back on to the roof. I wonder if they ever heard of a power broom or a back pack blower to remove the dust. I wonder what they would do with a roof that was already leaking. Crap over crap yields crap. At least he used a lot of "flashing" good and thick!
I guess they don't have pumps to bring all of that good quality "fibre roof coating" up on the roof. Frogs!!
A laugh for the day!
