Introduction

Whats up fella's? It's good to finally get registered, I've been lurking for a while. I tried to sign up once, but the forum was going through that change and it didn't work out. A little about me. I'm a 28 year old 2nd gen roofer. I run a crew of about 12 guys, all that have grown up learning from my old man. I do sales, leaks, small repairs, and between time I try to get a couple hours a day in with the crew. We do residential roofing, asphalt only, and light-commercial work w/ GAF Liberty mostly. Working within 45 minutes of here in Illinois has kept my crew bangin hard for 15 years, until just a few weeks ago. The calls slowed down a couple of months ago, and now they trickle. So here I am with a little time to kill.

Also, I'm in the process of switching to work comp from an accidental policy. Last time we had it, rates jumped to 45% overnight for no reason. Does anybody know what a reasonable rate would be? Also, any advice on where to find some would be great.

There was a deer hunter here in Michigan that accidentally shot his hunting buddy and they ended up prosecuting him for murder also. He was protesting that it was an accidnet in court, but the judge told him that if he hadn't gutted and cleaned him, they may have been able to save his buddy's life!

In Michigan you can use a rifle in the upper peninsula, but only shotguns in the lower section. Rifles carry too far!

Since you got into the hunting thing. Just this week a Game Warden was killed (close to Gettysburg). The warden witnessed the spot light and the shots, 2 guys were poaching deer. The warden called it in, gave a license #, description of the truck and called for back up. Our State Troopers were there in 2 minutes. This 21 yr old Ahole killed the warden because HE DIDN'T WANT TO GO BACK TO JAIL. Guess where he will be for the rest of his life. Sorry story but true. The kick here is (gun) hunting season starts in a week. Archery is already in season. OK I'm bitchin' again. PC

Rifles only eh? I would love to use my SKS, but it's not allowed here. I think it's outlawed completely in Illinois. I actually appreciate that law in this state because I know a few dipshiot's out here that don't need a weapon period, especially one that will go a mile or more.

I'm from southern IL..almost far enough away from Chicago. Whitetail deer is what I'm after, but I'm going tomorrow morning. My back started killing me shortly after that post 2 nights ago and just kept on all night long, as if you all don't know about that.
