Problem is Willie, they all start taking $6 / month from you. The bank. The County G'ment. The State G'ment. Feds. Ins. Co. Cable TV company. Now you're at what $95 / month?

Glad I canceled my cable :P

OLE Willie

At 10% more our rate will go from $59 to $65 a month.

Really Tim? really?

Round here, one word is all they care to hear: FREE Most intelligent conversation with them is doomed on this subject

At this point, most are in on the game. They know it's horsesh*t. Just give them what's "free" and make your cut just like the Ins Cos.

This about closing claims. If you make a dime or two doing it, then that's what counts. I guess :side:

Yes, insurance companies make as much money as they can. And the converse of that is that the insured knows that, and when they get a chance to get some of it back in the form of a new roof paid for by that insurance company, they do.

It is a constant give and take, a Yin & Yang taking place, and when the dust settles, the insurance companies come out a little ahead on the deal. They have statistics they use to make sure they do.

If you're refusing to suggest your customers file a hail claim because of a personal hangup you have with the whole process, all you're doing is insuring that your customer pays a proportionately higher percentage of the profit that goes into the carrier's pocket.

Imo, it's really not your call. Your customers expect you to inform them about EVERYthing that affects their roof, and the decision to file a claim is theirs and theirs alone.
