Hello,

I am a health and safety representative from Canada. I have been asked to find out information on safety guardrails for flat top roofs. I was looking at 5-10 ft safety rails (horizontal), OSHA approved, with the capacity to withstand a force of 200 pounds.

This is a commercial roof, covered with gravel and tar. I was wondering what material works best for guardrails, what type of hardware I would need to install the rails (nuts and bolts), what type of engineer will sign off on the work, and what would the costs be for the guardrail parts.

Sorry, but I do not have more info at this time. Any input would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

Next it will be " elementary, my dear Watson, "Huh, ????" Questions like this are usually made by the windbag at the end of the bar, the one who ends by losing the bets and buying the drinks. B) :) :) B) Deep Down In Florida Where The Sun Shines Damn Near Every Day

In answer to the original question as to what to make the safety rails out of: bungies and T-ball T's.
