State farm is refusing to pay for drip edge on shingle roofs, i need to document that the ibc high wind code requires the felt to be installed under the eave metal. As they are requesting this in writing from us.

Typical thread Robert.
Still waiting for any help guys?
I ran into this same problem. The IBC code that I read said that the drip edge is required only if it is required by the manufacturer's "approved" installation. I then could never find anyone that could show me where an "approved" installation was.
Listen I know nothing about these codes. What I do know is that terminology has everything to do with it. What a shame. If you speak the truth you're screwed. Twist it , your'e good to go. Our laws turn us into crimanals. Pathetic. PC
Why don't you just call it "perimeter flashing". They will pay for flashing!
IBC install instructions don't accept as satisfactory manufacture specs?? B) :) :) B) Deep Down In Florida Where The Sun Shines Damn Near Every Day
