Until this morning when my son and I installed around 1500 sq ft of chopped glass and emulsion on a hail damaged church roof that my brother and me installed (chopped glass and emulsion) 25 years ago. Whew, am I out of shape for roofing! Btw, we spent exactly 1 hour including setup, getting hoses and chopper gun on the roof, roofing 15 SQRS and getting the hoses and gun back down and hose rolled up. I was driving out of the parking lot to go home 60 minutes after I drove in with the rig behind my pickup. I did leave the rig for my son to haul home and take the ladders down, but that's not too bad of production on a small roof for an old man, eh?
On an average job this was about $1500 profit for 2 hours work (including driving time). We did better on this job for a number of reasons, but on average it would be around $1500 "gross" profit...much, much, much more on a larger roof where you can spend the day chopping.
I workout every other day, but there is no workout that prepares you for the energy expended and the muscles used roofing!

You can do any pitch roof you can find a way to get on. We do tall vertical parapets all the time. You merely use more glass in a phase approach on vertical walls.
As for the whole roof being steep, I personally avoid those that aren't walkable, but the emulsion/glass will stay put on any slope.
Our prime candidates are larger commercial buildings because of the high production rates - a SQR a minute isnt practical on a carport. :cheer:

$1500 for 2 hours, wow.
$1500 total for the last 20 years, wow.
I can't get a shower and a shave in one hour.
