At what stage(s) on newly installed and exising metal roofs should a quality assurance roof inspection occur and what procedure(s) does it entail?
i.e. how do you really know that your roof is installed correctly?
I personally handle all the details. Make sure the panels tops are box-folded and no just cut to lenght relying on the Z bar, closures, or anything else to keep water out. All panels are locked with 1/2" overshoot on locking strips. The water that always gets in there is then on the valley side of the lock strip, not the outer hemmed edge side. The list could go on. How's that for a start Mark?
