That's what the owner of this house is requesting

There we have it... exactly what's wrong with the roofing business, the "american" mentality, ... it's just the entitlement attitude spilling over into the general public. What a pity.
I'd switch insurance companies if they were willing to replace this roof.
File 3 claims in three years and you will be dropped even if nothing is paid out, you better have damage and if you get paid you better roof cause here there looking for a reason to drop you. La Citzens drops you insurer of last resort, well then they sell you a new policy at a new higher rate!
And after you file that claim and they deny damage your black listed oh and what about the $10,000 deductible Brian you going to eat that? Hail and wind coverage here is 5% or more deductibles so have at it four shingles new roof I doubt it!
Go for it Brian. And he only lives about 4 states away from you! 4 shingles, 4 states. Hmmmm.
He only lives 30 seconds from me
Look online or in the phone book for roofing companies or a roofing contractor that does free roof inspections. You should not have to pay for a roof inspection.
Make an appointment with the roofing contractor for your free roof inspection. When the roof company arrives, make sure they take a camera up on the roof to take pictures of what they find. Don't just take their word for it.
The roofing contractor may find hail damage, which is small little pings in the roof shingles. Hail can also chip away the surface of the shingles and wear them down.
The roofers may also find wind damage which can be anything from missing shingles, gaps in shingles, or shingles with upturned edges that have come detached from the roof.
The roofing company will be able to tell you if your roof is damaged and should be replaced. If they find damage, call your homeowners insurance company and file a claim for your roof.
Your homeowners insurance company will then ask you several questions and schedule an adjuster to come out and inspect the roof. Many times, the adjusters won't even get up on the roof, so you need to be prepared with those pictures taken by the company that gave you the free inspection.
You may have to argue your case using your photo evidence, or even a second opinion from another roofing company. If so, just be persistent with your homeowners insurance company. Remember, this is why you have insurance in the first place - to replace damages to your home.
I was attending a meeting several years ago when a guy admitted in front of everyone else that he had a couple shingles blow off his roof and then climbed up there, ripped up shingles all over the place and filed an insurance claim. The claim was denied, saying the repairs were less than his deductible and he had to pay someone to fix all the damage he had caused to his own roof.
We do repairs for free now & then......The last free roof we did was quite a few years ago - Some family that was on TV, (you know the story)...never even a thank you.....from anyone.
We give a way a free roof. Always wanted to do this finally last year we did it. Troop always told us how he did this. I always did repairs for free to people I thought deserved/needed my help.
Here is my website to give away a free roof.
And he probably tore those four shingles off himself.
If he has one of the insurance companies that just send him a check in his name, he will pocket the money and do the repair. :silly:
Here's what the other 99% of the roof looks like. He has 2 more roofers coming to look at this

275 is about right. Im BACK!
No GK im not all over this one
And he'll probably find a company that will get it for him. They'll slap on a new roof and in a couple of years the same thing will happen and he'll be back where he started. That's a $275 repair in my book.
