Homeowner Video about Hail Damage

There have been so many storm chasers here in the last 5 years knocking doors that now the homeowners don't trust anyone with the word roof, roofing or roofer in their name. I've had multiple home owners tell me that more than two dozen different people knocked their doors seeking to do a free roof inspection and acquire their insurance information.

1000's of perfectly good watertight roof have been replaced with roofs that are not as good as the one torn off and disposed of.

Another example of "Helping the Commnunity"

Last year we had well above average rainfall and I did a LOT of repairs on these "restored" roofs where the storm restoration company that installed the roof was no longer in the area or in the state probably for that matter.

So far this year we are well below average for rain and it's been pretty slow all year but it's not just due to below average rain fall. All the roofs that got replaced left us locals in a dried up market. Gee thanks for helping out the community "storm troopers". :dry:

It's NOT about helping any community. It is all about getting money out of INSURANCE COMPANIES.

In the end, the community does pay the higher premiums. (Where does the line for the Free Lunch start?) The ins. cos. really have nothing to lose....just raise premiums. Society HAS to have insurance. Right?

That's an easy one Mrs. Vickie. Upon first joining another forum that I won't name, I made the mistake of posting a similar topic to what's in this video. I did not know at the time that the members of this forum were in the majority, storm chasers. So I basically complained about the storm chasers to the storm chasers themselves. Needless to say, this did not go over too well. :laugh:

And according to them, they are "storm troopers", not chasers. They use the old line, "we are helping to restore the community". BULL! In the case of Hurricanes or multiple large tornadoes that may be true but the storms we had were very small, scattered hail storms and the hail wasn't very big in most places. I saw very few roofs that had any visible hail damage to speak of and none that leaked or would have ever leaked because of it.

I just watched the video and the comments below beat him up pretty bad. He was right on. What did he say that was so bad?
