From the 10/27 Seattle Times Notice also the roof bid on a mobile was over $8k... These dopes are just lucky the taxpayers are always paying for their mistakes. Time for the peasants to hit the streets with pitchforks and rakes.
---The reality is that NO ONE will be fined, fired or disciplined. ---And the building dept. will not be changed one iota. ---This is one of the MAJOR reasons we are in a depression. The bureaucracy makes the cost of enterprise go up by 2-4 times. So, many regular folk cannot afford to proceed with what should be a small easy project. In turn MILLIONS of small projects that employ millions of people cannot be done. ---In this case, the irony is one gov't entity is stabbed by another.
Lanny
King County is everything that's wrong with Washington state. I still haven't forgotten the blatant election fraud of 2004. If King county and Multnomah (Portland) were to secede and form their own ecotopia, the rest of the NW would be perfect.
Here's the link to Lanny's article.

$8536 to be exact. But of course insurance paid for it.
In our rural fire districts here, 2 of the 3 entities have SIXTY FOOT ladder trucks. There is only one building that tall, a grain elevator. Situated in the 3rd enitity that does not have a 60' ladder truck.
We have EXCELELNT Parades for those who like sirens and flashing lights. The police cars must have $6,000 or more worth of lights! Quite a spectacle!
I will say that the men and women are dedicated, altho mis guided. I just refer to them as the small town version of Wash, DC. It's a shame but as lanny noted the Peasants are extremely rich in this lopsided world.
Take to the streets? Why lanny? These people will be Re-elected next week with 97% of the vote and 4 Star rewards...... obviously no one is "wasting" any votes here
