I haven't been here to check in on all of you for quite some time. The last two years here in Oregon have been a total stormy disaster. Having to deal with two family deaths, hard to find labor, life savings down the tubes, I am still here. Had to downsize into doing handyman type work but am still here and in good health and hope to survive these somewhat hard times. But it is good to read some from old acquaintances and the best people in roofing. God bless you all and take good care of yourselves!!
I am getting back into the swing of things as the hustle begins anew. We shall prevail. This nation needs to put all of its construction workers back to work. Twenty seven per cent of us are out of work. But opportunities break out just like the sun breaking through the clouds on an otherwise cloudy day. We shall prevail.
Hi Glen, long time no speak. Sorry for the hardship, but I have friends going through the same , changing from roofers to gutter guys. It's working for them. Nice to hear from you. PC
---Times are tough all around. ---I roofing contactor friend of mine was telling me last week he has changed his whole business. Lowered his cell phone bill from $800 to $200/month...Sold all of his trucks and only uses dump trailers and one nice 1-ton to pull them...does most of the driving now himself saving $4/month salary to the previous driver...cancelled his yellow pages ad saving several k/month...and so on. ---I did that years ago lowering my overhead to bare minimum.
