Not just Harrisburg but every town or city along the Susquhanna. The Susquhanna River Basin has been hit by 2 slams from IRENE & LEE. The flood stage in Harrisburg is 17 ft. they expect it to crest at 28.5 ft. Thousands are under mandatory evacuation. Swift water teams are in from western PA . Bridges are closed and hundreds of roads closed, sink holes, buckled roads and 4 dead already. Hurricane Agnes hit this area in 1972, she is record holder cresting at 33 ft. This flood has taken second place already. The worst of the rain is over but we are down the river, which means tomorrow we get all the water from upstate. Personally I'm on high ground and 15 miles from the city but it is incredible to see. A lot of people are in distress. PC

Tin Man

I've had at least 150 service calls, due to the crazy weather we have had. If I were a crock I could retire with the calls. Most are nothing to do with the roofing. It's drainage, precocity to the rivers, tree debris, and clogged drains.

Twill yeah but that is state wide. Even Binghanton NY along the river is havibg problems. Wilkes Barre is a big concern too. They even built levy walls after the 72 flood 41', river already up to 39' there. The river narrows going trough Wilkes Barre, here in Harrisburg the river is 1 mile wide.Gonna be mess tomorrow.

I heard on radio today ( I don't have TV) that they are wanting 100,000 (?) people to evacuate?

PC My heart goes out to all those impacted by these events. I left the New Jersey area. This is a Fema event and I'm no longer needed here. The Lovely Mrs Ciak working the fires in Texas now. I have just returned home to one of the most beautiful hidden jewels my hometown. I am scheduled to fly out to Anehime California. I will leave Sunday. It was schedule for Friday had to change ticket. It is a nasty mess around floods. B) :) :) B) Deep Down In Florida Where The Sun Shines Damn Near Every Day
