Gotta make a preemptive strike in order to get an adjuster to pay for hail damage. Gonna have to shoot down the junk science theory that says you can determine the hail size by measuring the oxidation splatters on HVAC units. The dents in aluminum turbine vents indicate golfball size (1.75") and larger, but using the theory espoused by an insurance industry sweetheart, the splatter marks on HVAC indicate 1".
We've all seen the videos: sometimes hail is hard enough that it bounces off a concrete driveway. In the same way, hard hail will bounce off an HVAC unit, leaving a smaller diameter splatter than a slightly softer hailstone of the same size.
I can take it, tell me if my theory is all wet.
Agreed. I'd just as soon not have to do these dog & pony shows. I'd just as soon all adjusters were honest and I wouldn't need to posture to put my customer in position to be treated fairly.
Unfortunately that's not the way it is.
Your posts just illustrate what a racket roofing is anywhere near the hail zones.
What would happen if all of the money property owners pay to insurance companies were instead placed in maintenance accounts? Would roofs be replaced when they really needed to be replaced- not when some opportunist says so?
What we have now is an adversarial system that ain't working.
